Some just can't see forest through trees Capn'.

They go by the name of "conservatives" or nowadays "teabaggers". But what's in a name if you really don't see that there's obviously only negative value in a stunt like this?

It's hard to promote awareness when you aren't making any sense.

Soval, I'm not sure why you find it so difficult to understand COS' comic. Or is it that you understand it and don't agree with it?

I thought liberals always claim to be smarter than any one else... LOL

but a simple comic makes no sense... LOL

Soval...
wait for the next one I am sure it will clear things up for you.

NOT.

liberals/democrats want slavery

got it and agree 100%

but they are smart in that they package it as being for your "own good" and its for the good of the country.

slaves were for the good of the south too.

peace

Not funny. As in a Shakesperian comedy?

Call him comrade. The answer would be beyond the scope of his education.

"For your own good" words that make me want to chew nails and spit tacks. Glad I'm not the only one who sees that cradle to grave slavery. And even more distressing the slaves wear their chains proudly. And sadly they know they are slaves and do not care as evidenced by the canned responses from above. But then again I talk of a more far reaching slavery than just politics.

On this point I beg to disagree, there are some who fall into your category, but I fear more do not understand it at all. At this time it is the leftist halls of acadamia, people who pursue perfection not used to the everyday challenges of survival. There main target has always been the lower-educated, the poor, the disabled and sub-cultures. People who are struggling to survive, happy to hear promises of a better life. Easily mis-lead by elitist lies.

Worst of all, it is coming from both sides. We are a nation of the free. Free to be careful.

Slaves to technology. Or to cover a whole bunch of bases slaves to the advertising/television vision. Slaves to bankrupt systems. Slaves who have to be told they are successful who have to be shown fulfilment. Slaves who only know how to recieve a projected idea rather than project their own. Slaves to fashoin. Slaves to a music industry that calls them fools. Slaves to politics that by all ALL evidence willfully rob their constituents. And worst of all Slaves to willful ignorance. But you are right Owl some are just plian ole un-aware.

There is one inherent slavery in all of us. Slavery to human nature. The key nature being that of survival. Being physically weak and inadequate our survial instincts morphed into competition and greed, otherwise we would not be masters of this earth. All other forms of slavery have evolved from these basic characteristics. The slavery to willful ignorance is a natural outgrowth of the human nature known as Laziness.

We are presently in dark moments as a civilization we have been there before. The basic instinct for survival is still there and it will override competition and greed as necassary.

Do wish it would hurry up a bit. Would like to shake some of these chains off in my lifetime.
