and then the question why... hell... maybe I was drinking?

The word manifestiny sounds awfully close to manifest destiny, as if the two words were put together, and in the case be an inevitable life path you have no control over.

I thought of manifest destiny, too. True, when it comes to the nature of man - it is inevitable.

Manifestiny --- I like it, Cap! ...I like your poem, too. How true; "destiny is just a thought away."

It reminds me of something I said once: "Be in the moment; it will be gone in a second." .... CL

Yesterday's destiny is today's reality. Tomorrow's reality has yet to be manifested. Manisfestinly speaking.

Great post Cap'n. Drink another one.

reality is a reflection of what was on your mind

Yes indeed!

"The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways, but the folly of fools is deception." Proverbs 14:8

I quit my job once to spend a year thinking good thoughts, dreaming of wealth, meditating and stuff. Didn't work. What did I do wrong?

Didn't work. What did I do wrong?

ya quit your job and didn't work.

how where you to meet the people who could have made your wishes come true when your sitting on your sofa?

you actually have to strive for what you seek while keeping your vision of the future on your mind.

as in all things

ask and you shall receive.

but remember that also

god helps those who help themselves.

so, to sum things up

you envisioned your path - but did not walk upon it.
so you got nowhere.

keep the faith
good luck in your endeavors,

cheers
:)
